When it comes to the annual KEEN Christmas party, we know how to PARTY. This year all the KEENers voted on the theme Havana Nights for the party and came dressed in their best Cuban attire, complete with khaki pants, button-down shirts and saucy dresses. Some super KEENers took it as far as flowers in their hair and Cuban cigars to accessorize their outfits.

They are the opening few words of something called Lorem Ipsum, a placeholder text used by designers to mock up what a piece will look like before actual content is added.

As you may know, a group of enthusiastic gamers at KEEN participated in Extra Life. It’s a massive yearly event where individuals or teams gather donations towards a noble cause. In our case it was raising funds for the Stollery Children’s Hospital, and in return we had to stay up for 24 hours and play video games.

This year, the KEENers at KEEN will be playing games for Extra Life in support of the Stollery Children’s Hospital. The event takes place on Saturday, November 5th and we will be streaming live footage for the full 24 hour marathon.

I LOVE to cook. I think it’s safe to say it’s the part of my day I look forward to the most (second would likely be grocery shopping). Getting creative in the kitchen is meditative, gets my mind off of things and it involves eating. Who doesn’t love to eat?

Ahh, fall. It’s my favourite season! The air is crisp, the sunlight is warm and lazy, and the leaves put on a spectacular show of colour. Tank tops and strappy sandals are tucked away and fuzzy socks, cozy sweaters and tall boots make their way into regular rotation. Best of all, it’s the season of markets and craft shows!
