In my last blog post, we looked at what the different types of videos are that can appear on websites and how they can benefit you. Now we’re going to take a look at the different ways that these can be integrated into your website to draw more interest and visual appeal to help you stand out from your competitors.
Let’s take a look at some great web videos! Click any of the images to see how the videos work on their sites!
1. In Content
The simplest way to integrate a video into your website is to basically insert it where you normally would an image inside of the website content, like BosaSPACE did here:
2. Header Images
The latest trend is to integrate videos into header images so they automatically start playing when you visit the web page. The header area is a great place to feature product or service videos, as well as corporate videos. They are effective in captivating your audience because they are the next level up from just a plain ol’ slider with static images. Be careful about auto-play audio, though. No one likes that.
Here are a couple great examples you can click through to and see how it’s done!

3. Footer Videos
Similar to header videos, a footer video really allows your website to be visually enhanced. People aren’t used to having moving footers, so it’s a great place to feature contact information or hours.

4. Mixed in with static images
Another interesting way to integrate video is to have them paired with static images on your website. This really draws attention to the images as people don’t often expect them to start moving. Take a look at these two examples:
